Oh, well nevermind then, I guess I was still assuming it would be PV/Appy...don't know much about the plan other than a little of what I've seen on here.

that is got me to thinking about it and changed my perspective on the plan. on tv it made so much more sense than just reading in the paper

no, that was just used as an example to show how different combonations could be used to keep enrollment close to the same in all 3 schools. Perry was just giving the example that you wouldn't have to combine PV-Appy, you could use a number of combanations.

So tell me what two schools combine to get to 660 kids?

And what kind of community pride does that build? I say build one school and work athletics out later. Being a county teacher, I am tired of using old technology and having no resources to work with, but hearing that we are all about academics. Somebody needs to prove that to me cause this 3 in 1 Decepticon transformer school isn't doing it for me.

I don't know. I just know it was a "for instance, we could combine PV and St. Paul and not have to worry about combining schools that are close together since all schools will be on one site" for all I know it would have to be PV-St Paul, JJK-Appy, Coeburn-Pound. It might end up Coeburn-St Paul-JI Burton, PV- Pound and JJK-Appy or JIB-Appy-Coeburn, PV-Pound and JJK-St Paul. I don't know the enrollment numbers and that all changes if Norton decides to get in on the new schools.

I was thinking the combination would be JJK-SP, Coeburn-Pound and PV-Appy.

I think one huge school in Wise Co is the last thing, the last resort because it will just kill everything. Education is top on the list of most important but dont discount extracricular activities as a building block for a well rounded student. universities look at that a lot too now a days. they want well rounded students that get out and do thing outside the classroom.
